Our Favorite Local Rides

Feel free to ask us for recommendations when you come to the shop to pick up your rental, but here are some recommendations you can check out beforehand:

Pacific Coast Highway, aka PCH (info): Head north or south from Santa Barbara for excellent coastal scenery (tour)

Jalama Beach (info): Getting there... Options include a 62.5 mile route up the coast and through the mountains, or a 71.5 mile route inland through Solvang and Buellton, cutting back toward to the coast. Either way, after a great ride, stop in for lunch and grab a famous Jalama Burger at the Jalama Beach Store and Grill.

Ojai (info): Take 192 S to 150 E into Ojai. Once there, you can return home or fill up and take big ride up 33 N to 166 W out to Santa Maria and back down to Santa Barbara. Distance: about 235 miles.

Lockwood Valley / Frazier Park (info): Start like above but after Ojai, take 33 N and then after 33 miles, make a right onto Lockwood Valley Road. Distance one way: 100 miles.

Places to go:

Aside from the above rides, specific destinations include Ojai, Los Olivos, Santa Ynez and surrounding valley (Central Coast wine country), and Solvang (a Dutch town).
